Riverforest Park Rules & Regulations

SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH THROUGHOUT THE CAMPGROUND

Dear Camper,

Welcome to Riverforest Park. To make your stay as pleasant as possible and to enable us to have a peaceful and orderly campground, we have adopted the following rules. Please read and familiarize yourself with these rules as a failure to comply with these rules may result in your possible eviction WITHOUT ANY REFUND. Please also make certain that your family members and any visitors you may have are aware of these rules, as you are responsible for their compliance as well. If you experience any problems during your stay, please call our 24 Hour "Hot Line" @ 315-729-4749.

Please note that Check-in Time is 1PM and check-out time is 12PM (noon). If you need or desire additional time to check-out, please make arrangements at the Office before then.

  • Be considerate to future guests by cleaning-up all debris, bottle caps, cigarette butts, etc. before departure.
  • No digging holes or disturbing the ground cover. If tent stakes are used, please be aware of existing water and electric lines. If you have any question about the location of water and electric lines, please check with management first
  • Gray and black water cannot be dumped onto ground surface.
  • Privacy of other campsites is to be respected. Do not walk through other sites, vacant or occupied
  • Cutting or damaging any tree or shrub is not permitted
  • All wildlife in the park is protected and must not be disturbed
  • Excessive use of alcohol is not permitted. Obnoxious, loud or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in report to police authorities and expulsion from the campground without reimbursement or refund of any fees paid

VISITORS: You are responsible for the payment and behavior of your guests and visitors. All visitors must check-in and pay at the Office. No visitors are permitted after 10PM. All visitors must exit by 11PM or register for an overnight visitor pass. If visitors do not pay, you will be evicted without reimbursement or refund of any fees paid. Visitors are not permitted to bring pets into the campground.

NOISE: PLEASE respect your fellow campers. Excessive noise, loud music, foul language or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. QUIET TIME is between the hours of 11PM to 8AM. Any noise beyond the boundaries of your site will not be permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, voices, children, pets, music, radios, TV's. Any noise at anytime that is in the opinion of management to be excessive or annoying and disturbing to other campers will not be tolerated.

VEHICLES: Campground SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH ON ALL ROADS. Do Not use empty sites for parking or any other use. Do not obstruct the roadway. Parking of boats on sites is not permitted. ATV's or dirt bikes are NOT permitted anywhere on the campground. No bicycle riding after dark. State Law requires helmets be worn by all children age 14 and under.

GOLF CARTS: All golf carts must carry liability insurance of at least $300,000. Proof of insurance and policy limits is required. A Liability Waiver Form must be signed to operate golf cart. Golf Carts can be operated by LICENSED drivers ONLY (no driver's permits). Golf Carts may not be operated after sunset without proper lights. Campground speed limit of 5 MPH must be observed at all times. All passengers must be seated IN SEATS (no sitting on bumpers, on laps or backs of golf carts; no standing or hanging on to sides or backs of golf carts). Golf Cart Rules apply to operation on all property of Riverforest, not just roads (i.e. fields as well).

CHILDREN: There will be no tolerance for children misbehaving. There will be immediate and permanent expulsion for children violating ANY rules without reimbursement of any fees paid. THIS CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH. Parents will be held responsible for the actions and safety of their children and are accountable for any damage they may cause. Minor children must be on their campsite or under competent adult supervision by 10PM. Absolutely no children are to be left at the campground without adult supervision at any time. Children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the bathrooms unattended. Underage drinking will not be tolerated and will be reported to the police.

PETS: Pets are welcome, but no more than two per site and must be on a leash at all times and must be properly vaccinated with proof of vaccination visible. Pets must not present a hazard or nuisance to others. They must be kept under control and QUIET at all times. Do not leave your pets unattended (outside or inside your camper). Health Department Law requires proper waste cleanup. No pets are permitted in the playground or pool area.

GARBAGE: All garbage must be taken to the dumpsters located behind the gray house on top of the hill. Garbage is limited to your kitchen refuse only. NO BULK ITEMS.

POOL RULES: The pool is open from 10AM until dusk. Read all warning signs and rules in the pool area. There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. No children under the age of 18 are permitted in the pool area without adult supervision. HORSEPLAY, SMOKING, AND ALCOHOL is NOT PERMITTED IN POOL AREA. ALL campers must sign Safety Regulation Form.

ABSOLUTLEY FORBIDDEN: Fireworks, firearms, guns, BB guns, air guns, paint ball guns, archery, sling shots

RFP is not responsible for any damage to campers or loss of refrigerator items caused by any disturbance in electrical service

*** Management accepts no responsibility for theft or loss of any possessions or damage caused by vandalism, fire, wind, weather, "acts of God" or accidents.

*** Management reserves the right to evict, without prior notice, anyone who fails to obey any rules or regulations, or who, in the Management's opinion is creating a disturbance or is a chronic nuisance to the campground without any refund of any fees paid.
